A summery concoction of 16th and 17th century choral music with innuendo and innocence with early music composers such as Monteverdi, Wilbye, Morley, Bennet and others with the Liverpool Renaissance Singers directed by Deborah Catterall who is an early music professional and expert early music teacher and conductor.


There is a small car park at the back of the venue and some street parking.

Doors Open half an hour before the event, which starts at 7:30PM

This concert will be also be performed on Sunday 3rd July in the Garden of the German Church (corner of Bedford Street South and Canning Street, L7 7BT).

Admission free with retiring collection. Please bring a blanket and camping chairs.

Liverpool Renaissance Singers are recruiting altos, tenors and basses.

Rehearsals are currently outside on Wednesday evenings, at various venues in the Liverpool area and on the Wirral until we are comfortable to move into a venue in central Liverpool.

Subscription is payable yearly, or by instalments to suit the individual.

Prospective members are asked to sing to the musical director, either via a Zoom link or in person, whichever is easier. Auditions are friendly, free of charge and are very much a chance to work with the voice and to see where best you would fit within the choir.

Liverpool Renaissance Singers is a small, friendly chamber choir, specialising in European choral music up to about 1650, sung largely unaccompanied. The choir sing two main concerts each year in Liverpool Cathedral Lady Chapel, in March and December, and a number of other recitals across Merseyside, North Wales and occasionally further afield.
